Bronagh Darragh, Belfast

The wedding proposal that swept Bronagh off her feet and resulted in Bronagh & Marty winning a dream wedding package

After two years of long distance Marty moved to Kent, England to be with me. Within this year he booked a 4 day break to Venice and an amazing hotel. After a day of walking around Venice, seeing the sights and taking a ride on a gondola, we walked to a riverside cafe which served beautiful wine. We sat holding hands and watching the boats go by and after a while he asked if we could go back to the hotel and get ready for dinner. It had been such an amazing day that we decided to stop off at a local shop which sold champagne and purchased a bottle of Dom Pérignon, and while we were buying this, a lady shouted over, "Did you just get engaged?!" I replied,"No way, its been five years and he still hasn’t pulled his finger out!" We then went back to the hotel room and when I came out of the bathroom, Marty asked me to sit down for a minute. Marty had poured out two glasses of champagne then the next thing I remember was Marty explaining how much he loved me and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

"I still cannot believe I won the competition, it hasn't really sunk in yet. It will be a great help towards making our day special and  I cant wait to start planning and getting in touch with all the people who kindly sponsored prizes. Aidan and I would like thank bookourwedding.com for giving us the opportunity."

On entering the competition Clare told Bookourwedding of Aidans proposal...

He had brought my Christmas presents in to me but I didn’t want to open them until Christmas morning, he said well open your card then and I did as I thought he had got me the Westlife tickets that I had been nagging him for.
